Steve Burnett

Steve Burnett's work at Hawk and Hive shows black coated figures communicating in wisps of vapor across the hills. They speak to the tension between a desire for both isolation and company. Burnett's landscapes of moody grays and lush greens are strikingly framed in boarders of burnt orange watercolor. Known for his warmth of spirit and fondness for a good anecdote, Burnet's work translates a common yearning for connection with other inhabitants of this rural Upstate life.
